Deserie Johnson AKA Sanjo
Jendayi is a motivational speaker, author and poetress. Readers
and listeners alike are mesmerized, challenged and inspired by her unique way of
speaking directly into their soul. She merges her street edge with her
spiritual grounding leaving everyone on the verge of change. Deserie was born and raised in Washington, DC and she now resides in MD. She is the proud parent of Sekeithia and Miguel Johnson. She has dedicated her life to inspiring others to rise above their circumstances, take responsibility and turn mistakes into learning lessons. Deserie’s perseverance is evident in
her powerful personal testimony of trials and tribulations that is translated
through her poetry in “Black Butterfly...Soaring On The Wings Of
Poetry”. She has begun
working with her daughter, Nyela Sole`on their debut poetry CD, “Split
Personality”, she completed her first
children's book and
performs with Mad Jazz Poetry throughout the metropolitan area.
